The Health Revisited Aromatherapy Massage Bar is made from a cocoa butter and shea butter base and scented with pure essential oils. The butters and vegetable oil found in the bars are rich in antioxidants, are highly moisturising and have anti-inflammatory or vitamin-rich qualities. Pure essential oils have been blended for their traditional properties and unique scent. Health Revisited does not use fragrances and the bars are also free from animal products.

The massage bar is a solid block that melts as it is rubbed against the skin. As it melts it leaves behind a feeling of massage oil. Amongst the qualities of the massage bar are its advantages when compared with oil from a bottle - the greater control and less mess due to lack of excess oil or spillage. Once the skin feels oily enough the bar can be put to one side and the body can be massaged. As the bar melts, the aroma of the essential oils are released and inhaled. The oils also penetrate the skin as they are being applied topically, so creating a great moisturising action.

We liken the behaviour of the massage bar as being similar to chocolate. It is solid at room temperature but will soften in hot conditions or when left in direct sunlight. The packaging has been designed as protection for the bar. Should it soften, it can be placed in the fridge and will harden again for use.

 


USE FOR MASSAGE : The massage bar replaces massage oil. It is much easier to control how much product is put on the body and there is no risk of spillage. All the fun of a massage without the mess of oil!

 

 

USE AS A MOISTURISER : The bar can be used daily as a moisturiser as both of the butters have highly moisturising properties. Women use the bars for dry skin conditions and scaly legs, as well as pregnant women using our skinplicity (unscented bar) for its emollient action applied to improve skin elasticity.
